Angel Encounters #3: Saved From Crashing Into A Wall

Early in 1980 (written 2 February 2024)

This is the third of three testimonies, from my childhood and teen years, when my life was miraculously saved by an angel:

In the early 1980’s I was driving with a friend from Connecticut to California. We took turns driving my little red Chevy. It was late at night when I was driving the home stretch and I fell asleep driving. (I am thankful to report that I never fell asleep behind the wheel again!) 

In my mind I heard a male voice say, “Wake up.” I opened my eyes and instantly realized that I was driving headon into a solid wall! I had a split second to turn the steering wheel to avoid hitting the wall. I got back on the road and we arrived at our destination safely.

For the third time my life was miraculously saved, even though I was a dysfunctional teenager. I loved Jesus, but was very lost spiritually and emotionally from a lifetime of abuse. I’ve heard it taught that God doesn’t intervene unless we ask Him too, but that has not been my experience. God didn’t intervene to save me from many traumatic experiences, but He did intervene to save me from death.
