Everyday Miracles # 14: The Power of Faith Eliminates A Dangerous Situation
Photo by rick734’s Images It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I felt very bless to get perfect weather for our family birthday celebration at a gorgeous public park with a fenced preschool playground. There were two other families in addition to mine having gatherings at the picnic tables under the large pavilion. Suddenly, a young couple approach me, coming from the direction of the parking lot. The woman was visibly concerned. She asks me if anyone has seen a tiny blue plastic container? Apparently, they had a birthday party for a young child under the same pavilion earlier that morning. The small container contained pills; her father’s medicine. When he…

Everyday Miracles #13: An Unexpected Assignment From God
God speaks to us in many ways: Dreams, two-way journaling, angelic ministry, through His prophet, the revelatory gifts, etc. One Word from God can change the direction of your life and release the answers you need to succeed in your life. Hearing God’s voice is a prerequisite for living the victorious, abundant life that Jesus promised us. It was because I heard God’s voice that I am engaged in the ministry of designing prophetic jewelry. A woman at the School of the Prophets, where I am being mentored, released a Word about God calling me to design “prophetic jewelry.” I had never heard of prophetic jewelry. This seemed too off…

Everyday Miracles #12: No Loss of Income
Photo by Billion Photos Thursday 29 February 2024 It was shortly before Thanksgiving 2023 when my husband was notified that the project that he’d been working on would end, meaning his job would end. Not good news, especially right before the holidays. Fortunately, his company was trying to reassign him, but if they couldn’t find him a new project then he would be out of work by the end of January 2024. I prayed for God’s intervention in this situation, and particularly that we would not have any loss of income. Eventually my husband was given an end date for his job. He still didn’t have a position anywhere, which…

Everyday Miracles #11: Toddler Snow Boots
Photo by Nikita Khandellwal from Pexels Tue 9 January 2024 A snow storm came through my region of the Midwest, thickly frosting the landscape with eight inches of snow. It was still coming down, although much lighter, in the morning when my daughter called. She was hoping that after the snow finally ended, and if I could get out of the driveway, I would stop at a store and pick up a pair of size 7 toddler snow boots. I would gladly leap tall buildings in a single bound (if only I could) to get my grandson whatever he needed, but that was a tall order so soon after the…

Everyday Miracles #10: Christmas Lights
Photo by TriggerPhoto from Getty Images Signature Tue 2 Jan 2024 I love Christmas lights. When my children were little we would drive through festive neighborhoods to look at the Christmas lights and decorations. Those were well invested evenings that created a lifetime of happy memories. I had to live on those memories for over a decade after I developed light sensitivity in 2012. This condition prevented me from being able to look at Christmas lights, TV, computer monitors, and cell phone screens. I had to keep all the lights in my house at half power, and wear a large brimmed hat and dark sunglasses anytime I left my home.…

Everyday Miracles #9: The Nutcracker Ballet
Photo by Artur Didyk from Getty Images Mon 18 December 2023 I saw an advertisement for The Kansas City Ballet’s rendition of the Nutcracker at the beautiful Kaufman Center. When I saw the advertisement I thought, I would just love to see that Ballet! The only time I’d ever seen the Nutcracker Ballet was at a High School performance about fifteen years ago. But I don’t drive and I didn’t want to say anything to my children because I know they all have extra busy schedules during the holidays. So I just let it go. A few weeks later I was with my daughter (who knew nothing about my desire)…

Everyday Miracles #8: All Female Medical Team
Photo by Liudmila Dutko (This is a stock photo.) I had to have a GI procedure (EGD) today. All of my physicians are women and I wanted an all female medical team. Unfortunately, requesting a female medical tech, nurse, or doctor at a hospital or screening center is often met with a toxic response. I felt blessed when the surgery center I was going to was exceptionally kind about my request. They said female nurses would be no problem but that I would probably have to have a male anesthesiologist and male anesthesiologist assistant. Yesterday when I was finishing Charity Virkler Kayembe’s angel series I had an amazing experience. During…

Everyday Miracles #7: Brushing My Daughter’s Hair
Photo by Stock-colors from Getty Images Signature (This is a stock photo.) Monday 14 August 2023 I recently watched the movie Letters to Juliette, and a few days ago I was thinking about the scene where the older woman brushes the young woman’s hair. As I reflected on that scene I remembered how I used to brush my daughters hair when they were little girls. An intense desire filled me, wishing I could brush one of my daughter’s hair again as I had when they were young, but I believed it would never happen because they were all adults in their 20s and 30s, so I just let go of hoping…

Everyday Miracles # 5: Landing His Dream Job
Photo by VladislavStarozhilov from Getty Images Pro (This is a stock photo.) Sun 5 September 2021 One of my sons is a professional freelance illustrator. He has a successful, fascinating career. However, there was one particular company that he dreamed of getting work from since he graduated from college in 2009. Have you ever had a thought that seemed to just drop into your mind? Well, that is what it felt like when I recalled my son’s goal of getting work from this company. And then I felt impressed to pray for his goal to manifest. I offered up one rather simple yet sincere prayer, asking God to get my son…
