Get Equipped #5: Everyday Angels
Charity Virkler Kayembe and Pastor Joe Brock partner to bring you an amazing opportunity to learn about angels. In their book, Everyday Angels, they share what the Bible teaches about angels, personal testimonies, and instructions on how to partner with angels in your day-to-day life. I love what Joe says here: We followed no magic formula. Instead, we simply identified the lies we believed and replaced them with God’s truth. There was a definite progression. God introduced new things, and as we became seasoned to one aspect of the supernatural, He would move us into a new arena to learn. I am happy to say this has not stopped. The…

Everyday Miracles #12: No Loss of Income
Photo by Billion Photos Thursday 29 February 2024 It was shortly before Thanksgiving 2023 when my husband was notified that the project that he’d been working on would end, meaning his job would end. Not good news, especially right before the holidays. Fortunately, his company was trying to reassign him, but if they couldn’t find him a new project then he would be out of work by the end of January 2024. I prayed for God’s intervention in this situation, and particularly that we would not have any loss of income. Eventually my husband was given an end date for his job. He still didn’t have a position anywhere, which…

Everyday Miracles #8: All Female Medical Team
Photo by Liudmila Dutko (This is a stock photo.) I had to have a GI procedure (EGD) today. All of my physicians are women and I wanted an all female medical team. Unfortunately, requesting a female medical tech, nurse, or doctor at a hospital or screening center is often met with a toxic response. I felt blessed when the surgery center I was going to was exceptionally kind about my request. They said female nurses would be no problem but that I would probably have to have a male anesthesiologist and male anesthesiologist assistant. Yesterday when I was finishing Charity Virkler Kayembe’s angel series I had an amazing experience. During…

Angel Encounters #3: Saved From Crashing Into A Wall
Photo by Engin_Akyurt from Pixabay Early in 1980 (written 2 February 2024) This is the third of three testimonies, from my childhood and teen years, when my life was miraculously saved by an angel: In the early 1980’s I was driving with a friend from Connecticut to California. We took turns driving my little red Chevy. It was late at night when I was driving the home stretch and I fell asleep driving. (I am thankful to report that I never fell asleep behind the wheel again!) In my mind I heard a male voice say, “Wake up.” I opened my eyes and instantly realized that I was driving headon…

Angel Encounters #2: Saved From Driving Off A Hill
Photo by Dean Drobot 1977 (written 2 February 2024) This is the second of three testimonies, from my childhood and teen years, when my life was miraculously saved by an angel: It was 1977, and I was 16 years old. My 17 year old friend was trying to teach me how to drive a car. We were being giddy and not as serious about the driving lesson as we should have been. The road was narrow and winding. I was driving too fast downhill and lost control. Similar to an experience I had as a young girl learning to ride a bike, at the last possible second before a certain…

Angel Encounters #1: Saved From Colliding With Traffic
Photo by stefanoborsani from Getty Images 1966 (written 2 February 2024) This is the first of three testimonies, from my childhood and teen years, when my life was miraculously saved by an angel: In the mid 1960’s when I was a very young girl, my stepfather removed the training wheels from my bicycle, propped me on the seat, and then forcefully lunged the bicycle down the driveway directly toward the fast-moving traffic on our busy street. As I quickly approached the end of the driveway, I was paralyzed with fear. I literally could not move a muscle. I will never forget my astonishment when the front of the wheel ran…
