Have you ever heard the expression, when it rains it pours? I was going through such a season. My youngest two children were ages 1 and 3. They both had dozens of tiny warts over their body, including their face. Warts can be hard to get rid of, and they can continue to multiply until you do get rid of them. I was very concerned.

Plus I had a 14 year old son who had recently been diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctor warned me that he would be more susceptible to pneumonia for several years. And if they were not enough, I also had a 16 year old son who had vacationed with friends in Canada and came home several months earlier with a mysterious illness. He lost a lot of weight and never felt well.

I can still vividly remember kneeling in prayer one Saturday, asking the Lord to heal my children. I felt impressed to have a family healing session. When we came home from church the next Sunday after receiving the Communion Meal. My husband, our seven living children, and I, gathered in the dining room for prayer. One by one, my husband anointed the children with consecrated oil, laid hands on them, and individually prayed for their healing.

When they woke up the next morning both of the little children had a scab on EVERY SINGLE WART!!! They were ALL completely gone from both children within three weeks. And they never returned!

The two older boys were also completely healed within the same three weeks. Neither of their conditions ever returned!

Jesus said that healing was the children’s bread, meaning that healing is a daily life sustaining gift from God to born-again Christians (Matthew 15:22-28; Mark 7:27):

“Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:1-5)!”
